Wang Yi, Member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Foreign Minister, mentioned China-U.S. relations in a written interview with Al Jazeera. He said that China's attitude towards improving China-US relations is sincere, but the U.S. is still continuing its wrong perception of China, and its wrong policy of crimping China is still in progress.

He believed that the relationship between the two countries is unlikely to reversed, but it should hail a promising future. China is willing to work with the U.S. for win-win cooperation, to make more efforts for the benefit of the world, and to earnestly undertake their respective due international responsibilities.

Wang added that the U.S. election is an internal affair of the U.S., and China has never interfered in the internal affairs of other countries and will not do so. Regardless of who is elected the next president of the U.S., the people of China and the U.S. will still need to communicate and cooperate, and China and the U.S. will need to find the right way to get along with each other as two great powers.
