China Gold Association: CN Gold Consumption in 1Q24 Lifts 5.9% YoY, but Jewellery Consumption Drops 3%

According to the latest statistics released by the China Gold Association, the impact of high gold prices caused polarising impacts on gold consumption in 1Q24. During the quarter, national gold consumption was 308.91 tonnes, a 5.94% YoY increase. Among them, 183.92 tonnes of gold jewellery were consumed, falling 3% YoY.
