XPENG-W (09868.HK) Chairman He Xiaopeng revealed a plan to launch the Mona series, targeting the mass market, in overseas markets next year, US media reported. He viewed that the company's international expansion is progressing faster than expected and, for the first time, expressed the company's willingness to acquire other electric vehicle (EV) manufacturers. XPENG-W had launched the Mona series in China last year. He Xiaopeng mentioned that various Mona products will tap into the Chinese and European markets next year, and potentially other regions worldwide. These models are expected to be priced lower than some of XPENG-W's high-end models like the P7 and G6. The Chairman had previously warned that few Chinese car manufacturers would survive in the coming years, with many expected to go bankrupt.
