Former UK Chancellor George Osborne is one of the candidates for the next chairman of HSBC HOLDINGS (00005.HK), Sky News, citing sources, reported, adding that HSBC had approached Osborne this summer. Osborne is purportedly one of the remaining three candidates considered by HSBC for the next chairman position. The other two are Naguib Kheraj, who had previously served as Vice Chairman of STANCHART (02888.HK), and Kevin Sneader, currently working at Goldman Sachs Asia.
