The five-alarm blaze at Wang Fuk Court in Tai Po has so far claimed at least 44 lives and left 66 injured, including a firefighter who died in the line of duty. Reports say Wang Fuk Court's comprehensive insurance policy is underwritten by China Taiping Insurance (HK) Company Limited, with a maximum payout of HKD2 billion under its property all-risks coverage.
