<H Shrs>HSI Opens 65 Pts Higher as MEITUAN-W Stabilizes Pre-results

Hong Kong stocks opened higher in the morning session. The HSI opened 65 points or 0.3% higher at 26,011. The HSCEI opened 31 points or 0.3% higher at 9,196. The HSTECH opened 24 points or 0.4% higher at 5,622. A total of 178 domestic online games were approved in mainland China in November, including those by BIDU-SW (09888.HK) and BILIBILI-W (09626.HK). BIDU-SW and BILIBILI-W added 0.6% and 1%, while KINGSOFT (03888.HK) opened flat at $28.72. For other techs, BABA-W (09988.HK) picked up 0.8% to $151.8, while TENCENT (00700.HK) opened flat at $611.5. MEITUAN-W (03690.HK) and JD-SW (09618.HK) gained 0.5% as MEITUAN-W will release its quarterly results after market close. XIAOMI-W (01810.HK) and NTES-S (09999.HK) lifted 0.2% and 0.7%, while KUAISHOU-W (01024.HK) opened flat at $68.4. Chip stocks SMIC (00981.HK) and HUA HONG SEMI (01347.HK) climbed 1.8% and 0.8%.
