As announced by the Hong Kong Jockey Club (HKJC), the race meeting scheduled to take place on Sunday (30th) will be conducted on a fully scaled back basis. The meeting will be held behind closed doors with only Owners, Stewards, Voting Members and their invited guests in attendance.

There will be no sponsors or live music, and a minute of silence will be observed. Off-course Betting Branches will provide essential customer services only. Members and public customers with table or seating reservations in racecourses and Off-course Betting Branches will be refunded.

All gross income from the raced meeting, estimated to be around $70 million, will be donated to support those affected by the tragedy at Wang Fuk Court, Tai Po, in consultation with the Hong Kong government.

Together with the $100 million previously allocated through the Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust, the Club's total contribution is expected to be around $170 million.
