CN Will Soon Introduce Regulatory Measures for Live Commerce

China's State Administration for Market Regulation (SAMR), in collaboration with the Cyberspace Administration of China (CAC), formulated the Administrative Measures for Live Commerce, Wu Dongmei, deputy director of the Network Supervision Department at the SAMR, recently said.

Having completed all review procedures, the measures will be formally released in the near future, with an aim to establish a comprehensive institutional system encompassing business entity compliance, departmental supervision and enforcement, and joint industry governance, thereby safeguarding the innovation and healthy development of live commerce.

Meanwhile, efforts are underway to develop national standards for the service management of live commerce platforms. This initiative aims to leverage the effective role of standardization in unifying market rules and guiding industry development, to drive an overall improvement in service levels across the live commerce sector.
