2026 marks the beginning of the '15th Five-Year Plan' coupled with a phased easing of China-US trade tensions, according to BOCI's research report. It is expected that policymakers will maintain economic growth at a medium-to-high level of 4.5-5% to stabilize market confidence. Meanwhile, growth stabilization may focus more on enhancing domestic demand, particularly the pulling force of consumption on economic growth; maintaining stable performance in prices, employment and expectations; optimizing supply and inventory, accelerating the construction of a unified large market and improving growth efficiency. BOCI forecasted that the factors influencing China's 2026 economic growth may become more stable compared to 2025, with both upward and downward factors easing. The actual GDP growth for the year is expected to be 4.7%, with CPI growth rebounding to 0.5%. The contribution of domestic demand to GDP growth will rise, with relatively stable growth in resident consumption. Investment stabilization is mainly due to the initiation of major projects and expansion of government investment. AASTOCKS Financial News Website: www.aastocks.com |
